Current Rates for Services

  • Individual Psychotherapy Session: $200
  • Couples / Family Psychotherapy Session: $225
  • Parent Support Therapy Session: $200

Initial Consultation Options

Meeting with a new therapist can often bring up unexpected or challenging emotions. For this reason, I offer full session consultation options at a reduced rate. I want you to feel that we have space to address what may arise, and to leave our session with a meaningful impression of how we will work together.

  • Full session length consult for individuals: $85
  • Full session length consult for couples / families: $95
  • Quick 15 minute connect: Free

Cancellation / No Show Policy

I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. This means that if a session is not cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance, then you will be charged a fee in the amount of the full session rate.

Exceptions may be made for emergencies or serious illness.

Out-of-Network Provider & Insurance Reimbursement

I do not accept insurance and would be considered an out-of-network (OON) provider on all insurance plans.

If you would like to use your out-of-network benefits to reduce the out of pocket cost of care, I am happy to provide you with superbills that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

In order to mitigate unwanted surprises, I always recommend that you contact your insurance carrier directly to clarify what type of coverage your plan provides. Please see my suggestions below for what to ask your insurance carrier when you call.

Benefits of Working with an Out-of-Network Provider

  • Freedom and agency for you to choose a therapist who best fits your needs.
  • Freedom and agency for you and your therapist to determine what treatment looks like, including duration and frequency of visits.
  • Increased confidentiality as your diagnosis and treatment need not be shared with your insurance carrier (unless you are seeking reimbursement).
  • Less interruptions to care if your insurance carrier or coverage changes.
  • No restrictions on things like Telehealth, course of treatment, frequency of visits, and additional or longer sessions when needed.

Questions to Ask Your Insurance Carrier

  1. Does my plan provide for any out-of-network, outpatient mental health care coverage?
  2. Is online therapy (aka telehealth) covered under my OON plan benefits?
  3. Does my plan have an annual deductible? If so, how much is it and how much has already been met this year?
  4. If I still have a deductible remaining, will I need to pay out of pocket for psychotherapy sessions until that deductible has been met?
  5. After my deductible has been met, what percentage or exact dollar amount will I be reimbursed for each session?
  6. What documentation do I need to submit in order to receive reimbursement for OON mental health services?
  7. Does my plan require a referral from an in-network provider in order to see an OON provider?

It’s often helpful to give your insurance carrier the following CPT codes to get more exact coverage details:

  • 90837 – for 60 minute Individual Psychotherapy Sessions
  • 90847 – for 60 minute Family Psychotherapy Sessions
